PPC is an acronym for 'Pay-Per-Click' and is something many business owners have seen even if they don't know they have. Typically this is what businesses are looking for when they ask to have their website rank at the top of Google searches, although it's applicable to other search engines like Bing and Yahoo as well. This ad style is also able to be applied to social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. This form of internet marketing is basically a pay-per-click (PPC) auction where you only get charged when someone clicks on your ad that is displayed at the top of search engine results pages (SERPs) or on a social media feed. The pricing per click can vary greatly based on many factors including what you set for your maximum bid allowance, your Quality Score, and the ad rank of your competitors who are bidding on the same keyword. Google Ads (which used to be known as AdWords) is currently a very effective form of PPC Search Engine Marketing although there are others as well.
